I have huge student loan debt that I seem to never be able to pay off?

Mary D asked:

I have a large amount in 401K and this student loan is more than the 401K and it is a huge huge burden on my life. Would you withdraw the 401K to pay off this worthless debt ( I ‘m a little pissed about it because its gotten me nowhere) or would that be a bad idea. It is such a burden to me.

Is it possible to obtain a REAL reduction in ALL debt, or a REAL personal consolidation loan?

redheadedstepchild asked:

Is it really possible to reduce ALL debt? Or to obtain a REAL personal consolidation LOAN without having a large amount of home equity?

I am already in a Debt Management Program, that does not leave me enough money to even put gas in my car or food on the table. I am still searching for another full-time job in addition to the 8-10 hours a day I already work.

Should I get a bank loan to clear off my credit card debt?

h230857 asked:

Currently I owe approximately HK$190,000 on my Hong Kong credit card. All I can do is keep paying the minimum monthly payment of HK$7,000 each month so it wil take me along time to pay the whole amount off.

Will it be financially sensible getting a bank loan to clear the card debt off?
