I have $30,000 of student loans. I am in grad school and still have one year to go. My field, library sciences, does not guarantee work, especially in this economy. I am training to be an EMT basic. This pays $15 per hour to start. I dont want to take out any more loans but I fear that I might have to in order to keep my other loans in deferrment. I live in my own apartment and don’t have parents to move back in with.

join VISTA or ROTC – there are some volunteer groups that cancel the student loans

I reccomend you search Dave Ramsey, he has a program called financial peace university, very very helpful! It will change the way you think about money… make a budget and a saving plan and combine that with as many part time jobs as you can ..start cutting away at it…. search for work like its your full time job… if you live on your own in an appt … feel free to search for work out of state as well…

Financial expert Dave Ramsey (http://www.daveramsey.com/etc/cms/index.cfm?intContentID=2926 ) has a book called “The Total Money Makeover” that offers alot of good advice, but I must tell you, it’s not a get-rich-quick scheme. It takes dedication and discipline, but it is well worth it.
You could buy his book, but all of the main principles can be found in this free video:
